Amerillo

I finished a new Diva yea! I need to get more paper clay so I can make more! I love the feeling when I have a finished Diva that I am proud of. It makes me want to make the next one. I know I should practice more with the polymer clay more but it's so much easier for me with the paper clay. I get closer to a finished diva with paper clay. I have a few polymer limbs but no doll. I guess it couldn't hurt to just get some polymer clay while I'm at the store.

Anyway here she is! Amerillo pronounced /Ama-reeo/

I would love to sit down for 8 hours and work on some Diva's. I went to the Beach for a week and a few weeks after that my Grandmother passed away so I was out of town for 3 more days. It's so hard to find the time between watching my son Max and regular household chores that I have adopted now that I'm the stay at home mom. My husband is here to help me but trying to work himself I try to stay out of his office as much as I can. Then there are the voices that say "you will be back to work soon - maybe you should just relax and play with Max"

I have really enjoyed working with the paper clay. I have been practicing with the polymer clay - nothing impressive to come of it yet. I'm having trouble with the wire armatures and the hands end up too big. I think I need to get the regular instead of the soft maybe.

Now I need to give the dogs a bath and get max out of his crib. He had a 15 min sleep and 40 min. crying.
